Production:

Our standard process is the Direct to Garment (DTG) method of printing. We use Kornit printers for all DTG-printed garments.

DTG products:
For DTG products, we use Kornit Water-based and NeoPigment inks that are Oeko-Tex™ certified, which means they are safe to print on children’s clothing and reduce environmental waste. These inks provide a high washing colorfast AATCC rating of 4.

Sublimation products:
We use Mimaki Dye Sublimation Ink Sb411 and Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink for sublimation products. Both of these inks are Oeko-Tex™ certified. For some sublimation products, we also use MYSUBLI-E Sublimation Transfer Ink.

Phone cases:
We use Mimaki UV Inkjet Ink Lus 120 ink for phone cases. This ink is GREENGUARD Gold certified, which means the ink meets the gold certification for building materials, finishes, and furnishings.

Posters::
For posters, we use Epson UltraChrome GS3 ink. This ink is also GREENGUARD Gold certified.

Other non-apparel products:
For mugs, we use Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink. For selected non-apparel products, stickers, and canvas, we use EPSON SC80610/80600 ink. For tumblers and water bottles, we use UV-DL Ink.

Colors:
It is important to note that designs may look different on a real items than what you see on your screen. Even if you have calibrated your screen to a specific color profile, there are various factors that influence the final appearance of colors on real items.

Material:
It is important to consider material type and also the material’s color. For example, the same color value may look different when printed on 100% cotton versus a blend. Similarly, the same color value will look different when printed on a light versus dark colored material.

The differences between a print on 100% cotton (left) versus tri-blend fabric (right).

For the most opaque print, 100% cotton gives the best results, due to its tight weave like the unisex t-shirt. However, if a cotton is too thick, it can absorb more of the ink and result in a faded look, like the premium heavyweight tee.

We also offer printing on poly blends and tri-blends. Our fulfillment team has worked hard to develop a system that allows us to print on such garments. Due to their looser weave and combination of fabrics, these garments will have a faded/vintage outcome with DTG printing. This is a pretty cool effect, but may not be ideal for you if you want a more opaque outcome.

The differences in printing on 100% cotton (left), 50-50 /poly blend (middle), and tri-blend fabric (right).

Keep in mind that even the colors in these photos look different than on the real item.

Because of these factors, we cannot guarantee print accuracy 100%.

Shipping:

We ship globally, but there are some countries we can’t deliver to due to legal restrictions or shipping carrier limitations. Also, due to the impacts related to the Covid-19 pandemic and other unrelated service disruptions, our shipping carriers also don’t offer international shipping to the following countries or some regions of these countries (last updated on June 27, 2024):

The list of restricted countries may change depending on world events, but for now, we don’t ship to the following destinations:

     Afghanistan, Austria
     Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria
Central African Republic, Croatia, Cuba, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic
     Denmark
     Ecuador, Estonia
     Finland, France
     Germany, Greece
     Hungary
     Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy
     Laos, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg
     Malta
Netherlands, New Caledonia, Niue, North Korea, Norway
     Palestine Territory, Poland, Portugal
     Romania, Russia
Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Syria
     Ukraine, United Kingdom
     Yemen

Also, due to supplier restrictions, some items have additional limited shipping destinations. These limitations are listed in each item’s description.

Some of our products come individually packaged to protect their shape and provide extra durability. Here are the products we may ship separately:

– snapback hats, trucker hats, dad hats/baseball caps, and visors
– backpacks
– mugs, wine tumblers, and pint glasses
– postcards and stickers
– pillows with stuffing
– posters
– framed posters
– canvas
– bean bag cases
– water bottles
– notebooks
– blankets

In some cases, we may fulfill products from the same order in different facilities, which means they will be shipped separately.

As a general rule of thumb, all products are packaged in paper or plastic mailers or cardboard boxes. Depending on local supply availability, packaging can be made of recycled, partially recycled, or virgin materials. Whenever needed, we use clear mailers, tissue paper, foam pouches, or bubble wrap to protect products from breaking or scratching.

The most commonly used packaging in our facilities is a post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailer. If there is more than one product, after putting each item in its own separate transparent polymer bag, we then place them all together in a PCR polymer mailer.

PCR plastics are made from items people recycle every day, like plastic bags and bottles. Most of our PCR plastics are made from shopping bags and wrapping films.

The amount of PCR in the packaging differs for each fulfillment location, but it is at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags used in multi-item shipments.

As of May 2022, we started to gradually switch to 90%–100% PCR plastic packaging for apparel products in our in-house facilities all over North America.

Below is a list of item categories and their packaging descriptions.

Apparel and other textile products:
Textile products, including clothing and home & living products like towels, blankets, pillowcases, etc., are generally packaged in post-consumer recycled (PCR) polymer mailers. If there’s more than one product, after putting each item in its own separate transparent polymer bag, we then place them all together in a PCR polymer mailer.

We use compostable eco mailers for all apparel orders fulfilled in Australia. These mailers have the supplier’s name and composting instructions on them.

Apparel orders in the Japanese and Chinese partner facilities are packaged in plastic mailers.

Hats:
Structured hats are packaged in corrugated cardboard boxes. Beanies are packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) polymer mailers, just like other apparel items.

Home & living:
Most sublimated home textile items go in post-consumer recycled (PCR) polymer mailers. Large products and oversized multi-item shipments are packaged in cardboard boxes.

Mugs, water bottles, tumblers, and other drinkware are packaged in cardboard boxes, as are all beauty products like body washes and lotions. Jigsaw puzzles sent from our partner facility are protected by a recycled cardboard box.

Stationery:
We use kraft envelopes or resealable plastic bags with stay-flat inserts to pack stickers, depending on the location. Similarly, we use kraft envelopes to package greeting cards and postcards.

Journals are shipped in flat paper mailers, while notebooks and calendars are packed in cardboard boxes.

Wall art:
Canvases and framed posters also come in cardboard boxes ranging in dimensions from 12 × 18 × 2 to 28 × 38 × 6 in.

Framed posters are first wrapped in tissue paper to protect them from scratches and then wrapped in a layer of adhesive bubble wrap or a foam pouch.

Posters are shipped in triangular kraft boxes to ensure safe delivery and avoid using plastic caps. In several locations, we use stay-flat envelopes for posters in size 8 × 10 in. Orders fulfilled in Australia are packaged in cylinder cardboard tubes.

Other decors:
Other home decor and small accessories are fulfilled by well-respected and tested partner companies across the globe. Our partners use cardboard boxes for larger products like metal prints. Small items like pin buttons and magnets are packed in paper mailers.

Tech accessories:
Most facilities use paper mailers to pack phone cases. Our partners in Japan use a mix of plastic bags and padded paper envelopes to package phone cases.

AirPods® go in padded paper mailers with an additional protective polypropylene pouch inside.

Gaming mouse pads are packed into corrugated cardboard boxes.

Here is the info that gets included on each packing slip:

1. The return address
– By default, we use the address of our fulfillment partner as the return address.

2. The products included in the order
– If an order is split into two shipments (because it contains products that are packaged differently), there will be a note on the packing slip.

Here is an example of what our packing slip looks like. The RETURN ADDRESS stated here is a sample only. The actual RETURN ADDRESS for your order may vary:

No price is ever displayed on your packing slip. For international orders, retail prices are shown on the outside of the package due to shipping regulations.

It’s important to accurately list retail prices on Printful, as these are what we use for labeling international orders and calculating profit on your Dashboard.

Once your order is ready to go, our fulfillment partner hands it over to the carrier and we send you a shipping confirmation email and any applicable tracking details.

It can take up to 48 hours for tracking info to show up in the carrier’s system. Note that for some shipments, tracking info might appear even later – this may be the case for shipments coming from the Tijuana facility, as the are first shipped to the US and sorted at the San Diego facility.

If after 96 hours the tracking info does not show up, then please email mail@teddythebossbear.com with the Order ID, stating that the tracking info is not being seen.

If your order’s estimated delivery time has passed, here’s what you do:

Wait a bit more. Unfortunately, shipments can get delayed for reasons we cannot predict. We understand it is frustrating to deal with late shipments, but please remember that our estimated delivery time is just an estimate, not a guarantee.

Reach out to the carrier. You can contact the carrier service directly to get information about your shipment.

If you still have not received any news about your shipment after completing all the steps mentioned above, the please reference the Refund in the Event of Loss section.

There are a few reasons an order can be returned to sender but most often it is due to an undeliverable address. If the carrier has been unsuccessful in their delivery attempts to the address stated at checkout, then the package will be returned to the RETURN ADDRESS. Other instances include the package being unclaimed at customs or refused/returned by the customer.

We are notified once a package arrives back our facility (RETURN ADDRESS). We will then contact the customer to determine how you would like to proceed.

If a customer opts for reshipment, then the customer will be liable for reshipment costs. New shipping charges will be applied for packages that were unclaimed at customs, returned by the customer without defect, had an undeliverable address, or incorrect address stated at checkout.

The package can be reshipped to the customer, once we have confirmed an updated address with you and we are in receipt of the new shipping payment.

Delivery:

There may be cases where the delivery was made, but the package was left in an unexpected location at the customer’s address. Customers should reach out to the carrier and inquire if any additional details were left by the delivery person. For example: “Left under the table on the back porch.”

If the package was marked as delivered by the carrier, but the customer reports they have yet to receive it, we would be unable to cover the cost of reshipping or refunding the order based on the package’s delivered status. We will however do our best, on a discretionary basis, to offer the customer a coupon; terms and value to be determined on a per case basis.

When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don’t worry, that’s not unusual – it’s from a fixation agent applied during the printing process, and it’s not permanent.

Fixation agent (sometimes known as pre-treatment) is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.
